The new entertainment line-up will debut in 2020, with each show developed in exclusive collaboration with renowned Luna Rossa Productions.
When Silver Moon is launched on August 6th, 2020 she will feature To the Moon and Beyond, a retro tribute to space exploration and classic sci-fi movies.
Inspired by the recent 50th anniversary of the historic Apollo 11 moon landing, the show will feature evocative, space-age scenery and such iconic tunes as ‘Fly Me to the Moon’, ‘Moondance’, ‘Bad Moon Rising’, ‘Rocket Man’, and more.
This headline show will be complemented by three new stage productions, which will be available aboard Silver Moon in addition to the other five ships in the fleet.
‘Circus’ is inspired by Cirque du Soleil and the hit movie The Greatest Showman, while ‘Café Tango’ is a classic tango show set in a Parisian-style café and ’80s Gold’ celebrates the decade’s best-loved pop anthems.
The shows will be performed in the sophisticated Venetian Lounge, where audiences will enjoy high-quality musical tracks, vibrant costuming, and imaginative stage designs featuring interactive video mapping technology and motion graphics, as well as new mobile set pieces that will provide multiple scenery changes.
The shows will spotlight the talents of the Silver Stars, a new cast of accomplished singers and dancers.
“We are thrilled to unveil this enhanced entertainment program,” said Antonio Marangi, Silversea’s Director of Entertainment and Enrichment. “Enriched by the creative collaboration of Luna Rossa, we have developed an entertainment portfolio that has been customized according to guests’ expectations and preferences.
“Differentiation is the key to unique, intimate and exclusive entertainment programming. I know our guests will be delighted by our range of bespoke stage performances, as well as our new concepts. LunaFest and Silver Sparks will lend an extra dimension to create a remarkable entertainment experience,” he added.
In addition to these shows, other new performative experiences will enrich guests’ time on board Silver Moon from late 2020.
LunaFest will be a lively mid-cruise music festival staged outdoors on deck with street-food carts offering tempting delights, while Silver Sparks, will encompass a selection of entertaining moments that will pop up at unexpected times in different ship venues.
Silver Moon isn’t the only ship getting a new headline act, though. All six of the ships will debut a new signature production in 2020, according to Silversea.
